Throughout December: Festive Afternoon Tea at The Greenbank

Eat, drink and be merry this December with our festive afternoon tea. Enjoy three tiers of sweet and savoury treats, a tea or coffee, and a warming glass of mulled wine.

At £27 per person, settle in beside our wintry harbour backdrop and experience the joy of the yuletide season with us.

6th December: Malcolm Joseph and the Unquiet Peace

Professional bass guitarist Malcolm Joseph and his band the Unquiet Peace are bringing an unmissable night of funk, soul and jazz to Falmouth’s Princess Pavilion.

Since the 1980s, Malcolm has performed with several musical legends, including Grace Jones, Massive Attack, Soul II Soul, Desree and many more, so you’re in for an evening of exceptional music.

7th-8th December: Falmouth’s Festive Weekend

Falmouth’s festive weekend is back for 2024! Enjoy a full schedule of exciting events including a live music stage, Christmas market, festive land train, artificial ice rink, and Santa’s grotto!

Don’t forget, we’re just up the road! Stroll up to our Water’s Edge bar and restaurant for a bite to eat, or a warming mulled wine.

From 12th December: Mousehole Harbour Lights

Since 1963, Mousehole Harbour Lights have been a highlight of the Christmas calendar. Every evening, as the skies transition from winter blues to pastel pinks, this charming Cornish fishing village comes to life with a magical display of Christmas lights.

This year, the light switch on will be taking place on Thursday 12th December, with over 60 light displays!

Throughout December: Christmas at the Eden Project

For a truly astounding experience this Christmas, head to the Eden Project in St Austell. With an immersive Christmas lights experience brand new for this year, explore the biomes as they are transformed into twinkling wonderlands.

Add an extra bit of sparkle to your visit by booking an ice-skating session, or meeting Father Christmas along with his elves.

Throughout December: A Cornish Christmas at National Maritime Museum

Christmas in Cornwall is a truly magical time of the year! Visit the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth for all the fun, including Christmas crafting and a festive museum trail.

Uncover Cornish Christmas pastimes, decorate a festive sailing boat, and admire the beautiful lobster pot Christmas tree. Even better, it’s all free with general admission!

24th December: Christmas Eve at The Working Boat

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the night, The Working Boat team were up pulling pints! Join us for a jolly good knees-up on Christmas Eve.

We’ll be celebrating with plenty of tipples, piping hot pasties, and the soulful sounds of Eight In A Bar to get you into the spirit of things before the big day.

27th December: Near-Ta Theatre’s ‘Christmas.Time.’ at The Alverton

Back by popular demand, take your seat in The Alverton’s Great Hall for this hilarious yuletide musical comedy. Follow the story of two cellmates, Charlie and Toby, as they embark on an adventure through Dickens, pantomime, musicals, Christmas dinner and Christmas films.

Fun for all the family, choose between the 3pm matinee performance or 7pm evening performance, and enjoy refreshments from The Alverton’s cosy bar.
