Our pontoon is a key part of the town’s community, whatever the season. In the summer months, Falmouth residents and Greenbank guests alike pluck up the courage to leap from the pontoon or the higher historic quay into the waters beneath it. It’s a hive of activity late into the evening.
Even in rainy weather, families can enjoy a beloved tradition of organising crab races on the pontoon in Falmouth. As a family-friendly hotel, we provide crabbing lines and buckets for children staying at The Greenbank. This timeless Cornish pastime simply requires your crabbing gear, a tempting bacon treat, and off you go!
The hotel is the only property to have its own pontoons and private quay, so bring your paddleboards or kayaks and splash about in the ocean before settling in for a pint at its pub.
