A sailor’s rest

Established in 1876 and rebuilt in 2015, the four walls of our Falmouth pub have witnessed generations of ale and beer drinkers. From the nineteenth-century sailors and ‘oystermen’ that propped up the bar after a long day at sea, to the groups of friends, families, locals, and visitors that stop by today for a bite and a pint.

Relaxed pub grub

The chefs are on-hand ready to rustle up something hearty to sink your teeth into, from line-caught beer-battered fish ‘n’ chips, to juicy, seared burgers, and lip-smacking puddings. Wash it down with a glass of one of our thirst-quenching beers on tap, and watch all the activity on the water from a cosy corner of our Falmouth pub.

An impressive bar of over fifteen beers are waiting to be sampled, alongside wines and spirits, with a fine selection of Cornish must-tries. Things down at the Working Boat are all about comfort and nostalgia.

A nautical knees-up

It’s no secret we love an excuse for a good old-fashioned knees-up. The Working Boat is known for hosting some of Falmouth’s top events. From the International Sea Shanty Festival and Falmouth Week, to Dragon Boat and Christmas celebrations, our private marquee on the harbour is the perfect space for our pub to throw parties for the town.

In addition to getting stuck in with the annual festivities, we are also proud to play an active role in our local community. Bi-annually, The Working Boat and The Greenbank organise beach cleans, based from the pub. On a Sunday evening, our pub team also hosts a weekly quiz night, raising money for the chosen charity of the month.

With our ocean-side quay, and the Greenbank beach and gardens right outside the door, there’s plenty of open space and sea salt air for your pup to enjoy.
