27th July: Dragon Boat Race
Join us on Saturday 27th July for a thrilling event on our waterfront. Experience the prestigious annual Dragon Boat Race in Falmouth, as the Carrick Roads are decorated with the vibrant colours of boats.
What to expect
- An epic day of Dragon Boat racing
- Teams of up to 20 compete in canoe-like vessels
- Delicious food at The Working Boat
- This event is in support of a local Cornish charity
Dragon Boat Race 2024
Head down to The Working Boat, let us pour you a refreshing pint of local ale, and make yourself comfy on our private quay as the races get underway. If you’re feeling adventurous, there’s lots of time to sign up and take part!
This prestigious national sailing race returns to Falmouth again this summer.
Setting off from our pontoons, watch the brightly coloured boats race up and down from The Greenbank shoreline with a pint in hand.
At this free event, you can expect to enjoy a thrilling day of Dragon Boat racing, with teams competing throughout the day to take home the winning title. Spectator, winner or loser, there’ll be lots on offer.

Entry is £23.50 per person based on 17 rowers – if you wish to purchase entry for a team it is £399 for as many rowers as you like, but please note up to 17 people can row at per race.
