As the weather gets colder and we creep closer to the festive season, there’s still lots to keep us busy in Cornwall in the winter months. From immersive dining experiences, to meeting creatures of the deep and watching the skies light up, we’ve put together a run down of what’s on in Cornwall this November.

Take a plunge into the dark depths of the ocean this November and discover the monsters that lurk beneath. This popular exhibition dives deep into the centuries-old myths and legends of sea creatures that continue to capture imaginations today
After learning all about Krakens and mummified mermaids, head to The Greenbank cocktail bar where you can enjoy a Monster of the Deep themed cocktail. Our collaboration with the Monsters of the Deep exhibition has spawned delicious creations such as The Serpent and What Lies Beneath.

throughout November: Fred Yates Exhibition
Where: Penlee House Gallery, Morrab Rd, Penzance TR18 4HE
A 55 minute drive from The Greenbank.
One hundred years on from the birth of iconic artist, Fred Yates, the Penlee Gallery are showcasing all of his Cornish works together in Cornwall this November.
The exhibition looks deeply into Yates’ relationship with Cornwall, where he learned to be an artist and spent much of his life, as well as his relationship to the Cornish people.
The exhibition runs from 12th October to 7th January 2023.

5th november: Falmouth firework display
Where: Falmouth Cricket Ground, Trescobeas Road, TR11 4JB
A 30 minute walk or five minute drive from The Greenbank
Get your woolly hats and warm gloves on and get ready to watch the skies light up. Falmouth’s impressive bonfire night celebration rivals any other in Cornwall with no expense spared on the spectacular display.
Head back to The Working Boat afterwards to warm up over a hot chocolate or a warming winter tipple.
Gates open at 6pm for a 7pm start. Entry is £4 for adults and £2 for children, all proceeds go to charity

14th October: RMS Titanic Murder mystery night
Where: The Greenbank, Falmouth
What could be better than a murder mystery night? How about one set on the Titanic? While we can’t promise Leonardo DiCaprio will show up, the team at Murder by Appointment are guaranteed to put on a spectacular show.
Starting at 6.30pm, enjoy a drink on arrival before taking your seat for the main event. A delicious three-course dinner will be served with a side of scandal, mystery and murder. Starters will be served at 7pm.
Each crucial scene will unfold before your eyes in between courses. The secrets, relationships and actions of each character will be revealed. It is your job to crack the code, deliberate over the clues and unmask the killer! You’ll be able to quiz the suspects and delve deeper into their potential motives and movements during the evening at this immersive dining experience.
28th of October: The Greenbank- Sundowners Session
Where: The Greenbank Hotel, Falmouth
Make the last Friday of the month count with our Sundowner Sessions. Featuring live music from local musicians and a range of delicious tipples, including two for £12 cocktails.
