Our favourite maritime music festival is returning this June! We are excited to announce that The Greenbank are the newest official sponsors for Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival. At our last event we welcomed crowds of shanty fans to our private quay to sing-along to the sounds of the sea in the sunshine. The Sea Shanty Festival welcomes over 65 international groups performing across 25 different venues in Falmouth, from intimate pub settings to open-air stages.
DOING OUR BIT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Our role as sponsors this year will be focusing on the sustainability element of the weekend. We’ll be helping to aid improved recycling and better waste management facilities over the weekend. Our Managing Director, Ben Young says: “The Greenbank is delighted to support the festival this year. We hope to enable further recycling and sustainability opportunities throughout the weekend and to further spread our plastic free message far and wide. The town and its activities deserve the full support of the bigger businesses and we all need to demonstrate our commitment through our deeds and not just through our words.”
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS YEAR
Beginning on June 14th, the whole town will be celebrating Falmouth’s maritime heritage and history all weekend. Expect music, food and lots of Cornish tipples! The Working Boat horsebox will be open for business, and you can expect pints and dirty fries on the quay. This year, we’re excited to welcome big names including The Oggymen, Bryher’s Boys and Pirates of St Piran, amongst a line-up of 17 other performers that you won’t want to miss.

We’re just a stone’s throw away from the high street, the perfect location to wander between town and Falmouth’s harbour.
