1. Our breath-taking views
Home to the world’s third largest natural harbour, Falmouth boasts some of Cornwall’s best views. What better way to experience life on the water than being able to step out of your room and straight on to a waiting boat? At The Greenbank you can do just that. We are the only hotel in the south west to have our own private pontoons, so you can be picked up on the water right from our doorstep. 2. The history
Full of rich heritage and history, The Greenbank’s claim to fame is that in 1907, Florence Nightingale stayed here and her name can still be seen in the guest book on display by reception. Additionally, Kenneth Grahame stayed at the hotel between the spring and autumn of 1907. It was here that he wrote letters to his son, which later formed the stories for The Wind in the Willows. As well as this, Falmouth town also has a line-up of famous names and historical battles that can still be felt in its atmosphere today. 5. Four-legged friends are welcome
We now offer our well behaved four-legged friends some much needed rest and relaxation after a day of chasing sticks on the beach. With a selection of dog friendly rooms, your pooch can stay for an additional £17.50 per night. During their stay we will include a blanket, water and food bowl for the night, and some gourmet treats supplied by Bob & Lush.
6. We’re going green
Not only are we a part of The Final Straw campaign and registered as a water refill station, the hotel is making a conscious decision to reduce its use of plastics. Perched perfectly on Falmouth harbour, our two AA rosette restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy the bounty of the Cornish waters.
