Surfers Against Sewage Spring Beach Clean: 10th April 2020
Regrettably this event is currently postponed. We will keep you updated on a future date in due course.
BEACH CLEANS IN FALMOUTH
Our bi-annual beach clean is back. This spring we’ll be supporting Surfers Against Sewage by heading to Greenbank Beach with our litter pickers in search of plastic and other washed up rubbish. If you are free on 10th April and keen to get involved in our beach clean, we’d love for you to join us.
keeping falmouth clean
We don’t take our gorgeous coastal location for granted. At The Greenbank we feel so lucky to look out onto the blue waters and bobbing boats. We are passionate about doing our bit to take care of the beautiful Cornish environment. This year we are aiming to go completely plastic-free! Our beach cleans are a way for us to give back to the community, and encourage everyone to join in.
join the beach clean crew
If you’d like to get involved, we’ll be meeting down at The Working Boat pub (below the hotel) on 10th April. Times will be announced the week before when tide times have been taken into consideration. Surfers Against Sewage will be providing gloves, rubbish bags and litter pickers. We’ll then head to Greenbank Beach and the surrounding areas around the hotel, including The Greenbank Gardens, to collect any waste. Over the years we’ve had some weird and wonderful discoveries! Find out how much rubbish we collected and what we uncovered at our autumn beach clean last October.
a free pint for all volunteers
As a thank you for lending a hand, we’ll be rewarding all our helpful volunteers with a pint of beer in The Working Boat, provided by our sponsors at Sharp’s Brewery. Our beach cleans wouldn’t be possible without the help of the community, so it’s all hands on deck! If you would like to join in, please register your interest by emailing marketing@greenbank-hotel.co.uk. The event is free to attend – the more the merrier!
