Our much-loved dog friendly Cornish beaches
our favourite Dog Friendly Beaches
Looking for dog friendly beaches in Cornwall? With a beach for every day of the year, our beautiful county has plenty to keep you occupied. From long stretches of sandy bays, to countless coves that lead to cosy pubs – we’ve mapped out a selection of Cornish beaches below that are dog friendly all year round…
The dog ban has been lifted…
Luckily for us, the dog ban was finally lifted at the beginning of October, meaning that all our local beaches are available for our four-legged friends to run around on once more!
Our favourite Falmouth beaches include:
Swanpool
Swanpool is a beautiful sand and shingle beach with easy parking, an outdoor café, crazy golf course, water-sports and kayak hire. Perfect for families looking for a relaxing day.
Maenporth
The gently sloping beach has shallow water which is great for man’s best friend to make a splash! With views towards Pendennis Castle and the lighthouse on St Anthony Head, this beach offers breath-taking views.
Gyllyngvase
Gyllyngvase beach is one of the most popular beaches in Falmouth and is one of only seven beaches in Cornwall to receive the Blue Flag Award 2019, which recognises that the beach is clean, with the highest quality of water, well managed and safe. Perfect for our four-legged friends!
Castle Beach
A lovely beach with stunning views out over Falmouth Bay in one direction and the historic Pendennis Castle and St Anthony headland in the other. With a sloping flat access path plus a few steps down to the beach this is the perfect place to bring the dogs.
