Our best-loved dog walks in Cornwall
Few places in the world can match Cornwall for the variety of its dramatic coastline, ancient woodlands and secluded creeks. Whether you’re wanting a gentle stroll or a fast-paced ramble, take your legs and lead for a stretch with our selection of walks…
Minack Theatre, Porthcurno
The world-famous Minack Theatre allows dogs with leads. With miles of coastal paths to explore nearby, it makes a great day out for you and your four-legged friend.
Kennall Vale Nature Reserve, Ponsanooth
A hidden valley lying in the countryside just outside of Falmouth. Expect a tranquil and serene place to have a quiet stroll. The perfect place to frolic!
The Camel Trail, Wadebridge
Explore the beautiful Cornish countryside along a disused railway line on the north coast. The Camel Trail is an 18 mile largely traffic free trail, so plenty of roaming to be had. Our favourite stretch is the five miles from Wadebridge to Padstow.
Gyllyngvase to Swanpool, Falmouth
Starting at Gylly Beach, take the coastal path south towards Swanpool. Great fun for your dog – exploring the beaches, rockpools and grassy hills – while you get to enjoy the views and gentle walk.
Trelissick to Roundwood Quay, Feock
This walk follows the River Fal and offers varying views, narrow creeks and wide expanses of water, also going inland to woodlands and grazed farmland.
Porthleven to Loe Bar, Helston
The south west coast path climbs up on to the headland here, with magnificent views west past Porthleven and onto Penwith. You’ll find quiet beaches, a freshwater lake behind the sand bar, green meadows and woodland.
Kennegy Sands, Penzance
Just one of many secret beaches on the south coast of Cornwall, Kenneggy Sands offers a sandy beach reached at low tide from Praa Sands. This beach is so secluded that it has to be reached on foot. Ideal for a doggie dip!
Tehidy Country Park, Camborne
With more than nine miles of paths, there’s plenty of space to play here. Enjoy a whopping 250 acres of peaceful woods and lakes to explore, together with a café and a picnic area.
