Assistant housekeeping manager
At The Greenbank, making sure our guests have the most relaxing and memorable stay possible is our number one priority. Our wonderful housekeeping team are at the very heart of delivering this goal.
In this role you will work closely with the Head housekeeper to help manage of all aspects of the Housekeeping Department. As a senior member of the team, the Housekeeping Assistant Manager is expected to adopt a duty management attitude at all times, always vigilant with strong attention to detail. Working with the team as one of the team and assisting them when needed.
Your main day to day role will be to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness in the bedroom ensuites, public corridors and hotel facilities.
We thrive on customer satisfaction and the cleanliness of the guests rooms involve a major part of this.
Main responsibilities include-
- Ensure high standards of cleaning is achieved all the public areas of the hotel by the housekeeping team
- Thoroughly read through the Arrival and departure list for any information that is key to housekeeping: Dog rooms, Twins, Z beds, Allergies, Romance retreats, Captains club, Early check in and so on…
- Report maintenance issues immediately or log on the computer system if it is not urgent
- Ensure the Rota is updated correctly of any sickness, lateness, Holidays – Find cover if needed
- Make up room lists on the day for the housekeepers and assign tasks
- Delegate jobs to supervisors and linen porter
- Help the linen porter deliver the days chores if assistance is needed
- Manage ordering of all stock including; linen on our online portal, chemicals and other condiments for the rooms
- Abide to the health and safety regulations as required by law
- Help Train all new starters to our highest standards whilst following heath and safety and COSHH
- Checking on room attendants and instructing them on a daily basis of their tasks and duties
- Relevant knowledge of Microsoft and Hotel perfect for ordering and reporting – training will be given on our hotel systems
- Maintain the standards and quality of the rooms and furnishings by checking all stays and arrivals daily and report any issues to the room attendants
- Ensure that the housekeeping staff complies with all safety and sanitation policies
- Investigating and addressing complaints regarding poor housekeeping service or guest feedback
Salary: £22k – £23k depending on experience.

HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT
At The Greenbank, making sure our guests have the most relaxing and memorable stay possible is our number one priority. Our wonderful housekeeping team are at the very heart of delivering this goal. We are currently recruiting staff to join our housekeeping team.
With a meticulous eye for detail and a hard working attitude, as a housekeeper you will be responsible for ensuring every one of our 61 rooms, from our cosy classics to the most lavish suites in the house, are in tip top condition for the arrival of our guests. You will need to be presentable, flexible and have the right attitude, as well as a great work ethic.
Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred, although job training will be given. This role is flexible – it can be either part time (just weekends) or full time, so please get in touch if you are looking for either option.
Duties include ensuring that our room standards exceeds our customers’ expectations, completing all allocated bedrooms within the time frame, and working closely with our Head Housekeeper and supervisors.
You will be working in pairs and using environmentally controlled cleaning equipment. Our porters are on hand to help and distribute laundry and our excellent maintenance team will assist you in ensuring every room is kept up to our 4* standard. Finishing time for this role is usually around 3:30pm.
