Introducing Maintenance Manager Aaron Fuller
the greenbank maintenance manager
Originally from Derby, our Greenbank Maintenance Manager Aaron moved to Cornwall over 20 years ago to raise his daughter and enjoy the slow-paced Cornish lifestyle. Aaron started his career at the young age of 14 when he spent three years training as a flooring apprentice. After this, he decided to join the army. Aaron served for nine years as a combat medic and was a trained paramedic.
Following on from his stint in the armed forces, Aaron decided to return to his speciality trade and worked in Derby as a floorer. Eventually, he made the move down to Cornwall for a change of pace and transferred all the skills he’d learnt over the years to work in the hotel industry. Fast forward to February 2020 when Aaron joined The Greenbank team.
When he isn’t working, Aaron loves walking his two black labradors Charlie and Mylo and spending quality time with his grandchildren – including teaching them his northern phrases.
what’s your favourite part about your job?
Every day is different. I can be fitting carpets in the morning and plumbing by the afternoon.
what’s your favourite cornish delicacy?
It has to be a proper Cornish pasty.
what one place in cornwall would you recommend to guests as a must-see?
Mevagissey. I love that it is still innocent and unspoilt, the harbour village has an old-worldly feel.
what makes falmouth so special to you?
It is so peaceful and quiet. After coming from a big city it is a great contrast.
Can you describe The Greenbank in five words?
Good fun, hard work, picturesque.
