Introducing Head Receptionist Nicola Jackett
Head Receptionist at The Greenbank Hotel, Nicola Jackett was born in Cornwall before emigrating to South Africa, spending nine happy years out there. After that, Nicola spent the rest of her schooling back in Falmouth and settled back into Cornish life.
At 19 years old, Nicola became a trainee receptionist at the former Falmouth Beach Hotel. Working her way up, Nicola soon found herself becoming Head Receptionist of The Greenbank Hotel, which involves assisting Leonie, her Front Office Manager. When Nicola isn’t at work, you’ll find her walking her two West Highland terriers Shona and Bobby, heading to the next live music performance or watching the latest films at the cinema.

It’s got to be hitting the beach! I love exploring Cornwall’s beautiful coastline.
Where is your favourite place to unwind?

What makes Falmouth so special to you?
My family are all based in Falmouth, which is so lovely as I can see them practically everyday. I’ve also made some lifelong friends here too. You can’t beat hitting Gyllyngvase beach for a barbecue with your friends and family in the summer!

The ultimate Cornish delicacy: the traditional steak pasty.
