Introducing Guest Relations Manager Fi Hodges
The Greenbank’s GUEST RELATIONS MANAGER FI HODGES
Born in Bristol, Fi moved to Cornwall aged nine so feels she is almost considered ‘a local!’ She attended secondary school in Penryn and completed her A levels in Truro. Fi then chose to start working in hospitality and at the age of 21 she fancied a change and a new challenge, so moved to Hertfordshire to work at Stansted Airport. This is where her customer relations skills were further crafted and often tested.
The pull of Cornwall was great however and Fi decided to move back and embraced Cornish life once again. She continued to work constantly in customer service and hospitality, whilst enjoying life by the sea. Fi and her husband chose to bring up their three children in Falmouth.
Fi became The Greenbank’s Guest Relations Manager in May 2021 and is looking forward to the exciting challenges ahead, and being part of The Greenbank team.
What’s your best loved thing to do in the summer?
I’m lucky enough to share a beach hut on Swanpool beach. I love nothing more than a day at the beach, watching my kids in the sea. Ending the day with a BBQ with great friends and watching the sun set.
What’s your favorite thing to unwind?
We love to go walking as a family and go out often with friends for a big Sunday stomp. You can’t beat the scenery that we have on our doorstep. We also tend to reward ourselves on our way home with a stop off in our local for a glass or two!
What’s your favourite Cornish delicacy?
My husband’s fish pie, made with fresh fish caught by my father in law! It had a long reign at The Working Boat pub and always makes me feel at home.
What local place would you recommend to guests?
It has to be Trebah garden. I’ve been a member for years and it’s such a wonderful place to visit. Make sure you go all the way down to the beach – the ice-cream is fabulous!
