Holly’s Night Out In Cocktail Series: Taste of Spring
gin cocktail recipe
A weekend of sunshine in your garden can only mean one thing – it’s cocktail time! Holly will be bringing you The Greenbank’s favourite tipples over the next few weeks with our “Night Out In” series, all featuring spirits that may already be lurking in your cupboards. And with a simple jam jar at hand, you’ll be shaking and stirring them in no time! This week we’re kicking off with a zesty gin cocktail recipe which is ideal for the spring time. Shake up a few of these and sip in the garden, or from the comfort of your own kitchen. This tipple won’t disappoint any gin lovers, with a dash of sherry too and lots of refreshing fruity flavours.
YOU WILL NEED:
- 50ml dry gin
- 25ml Manzanilla or any dry sherry
- 25ml sweet cloudy apple juice
- 25ml elderflower cordial
- 10ml lemon juice
- 4 slices of cucumber muddled
- 6 mint leaves
Find the full method on our Facebook page, but all you need to do is shake all ingredients, then strain and fine strain into a glass (Holly found this vintage beauty in a local charity shop.) Here she has used an apple as a makeshift peg and a mint leaf as the garnish. Cheers!
