Join us on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July 2026 for a thrilling weekend on our waterfront. Experience the prestigious annual Dragon Boat Race in Falmouth, as the Carrick Roads are decorated with the vibrant colours of boats.

Dragon Boat Race 2026

Head down to The Working Boat, let us pour you a refreshing pint of local ale, and make yourself comfy on our private quay as the races get underway.

This prestigious national sailing race returns to Falmouth again this summer.

Setting off from our pontoons, watch the brightly coloured boats race up and down from The Greenbank shoreline with a pint in hand.

At this free event, you can expect to enjoy a thrilling weekend of Dragon Boat racing, with teams competing on both days to take home the winning titles. Spectator, winner or loser, there’ll be lots on offer.

The Working Boat will be serving bacon baps in the morning and delicious dirty fries all day, piled high with toppings like crispy squid, hickory pulled pork, and truffle parmesan. If you’d like to join us for food booking is recommended.

Last year, we partnered with Mylor Sailability with 10% of all proceeds generated from our food and drink sales during the day donated to this amazing local charity, raising a total of £955.

So, head on down to the quay on 25th and 26th July 2026 and back your favourite boat with a pint in hand. The question is, who will take the title this year?

Early birds rejoice! Entry is £399 per boat if you book before 31st December 2025, and £450 from January 2026 onwards. We’re also offering £100 off if you book two teams over two days. What’s more, both discounts can be used together, so book early for big savings.
