THROUGHOUT SEPTEMBER: PHILLEIGH WAY COOKING CLASSESS
Where: 50 minute drive from The Greenbank
A cookery school like no other, Philleigh Way is just off the coast of the River Fal and not only has unique culinary educational experiences but stunning views too. At this cookery school there’s a range of courses from foraging to pasta making, as well as traditional Cornish pasty classes and even a class on knife skills. You’ll get to eat and drink with the other guests and relax around a beautifully decorated table surrounded by picturesque landscapes.

2ND SEPTEMBER: THE COUNTRYMEN AT PRINCESS PAVILION
Where: 8 minute drive from The Greenbank
Enjoy a night of live Cornish folk music from Launceston based harmony group The Countrymen. With their relaxed and light-hearted style, they take the audience on a journey through the history and culture of Cornwall, featuring their own arrangements of traditional and contemporary songs, as well as original material. Taking place at Falmouth’s own Princess Pavilion it’s bound to be a night of musical fun.

: Trebah Gardens
2ND SEPTEMBER: A ROOM WITH A VIEW BY BODKIN THEATRE COMPANY AT TREBAH GARDENS
Where: 16 minutes drive from The Greenbank
Taking place in one of our favourite Cornish gardens, Bodkin Theatre Company have reimagined this much loved classic with their trademark wit and humour, bringing alive an array of colourful characters. Tickets include entry to the garden which is a must visit in itself. With its mix of subtropical gardens, hidden corners and private beach, it’s a whole day worth of fun.

17TH SEPTEMBER: THE CORNISH GIN & DRINKS FESTIVAL AT THE ALVERTON
Where: 25 minute drive from The Greenbank
A festival of all your favourite gins and drinks. From midday until late, expect to meet the makers and sample the very best in Cornish drinks as well as receive a complimentary gin on arrival. Expect live demos, talks and masterclasses from distilleries as well as free samples. More than just gin, share an afternoon tea and dance the night away with a whole host of live music. Ensure you arrive before 7pm to see all the suppliers.

:Glendurgan Gardens
THROUGHOUT SEPTEMBER: GLENDURGAN GARDEN
Where: 17 minutes drive from The Greenbank
From silent spaces to educational days, there’s plenty to do at Glendurgan Garden. Take a trip to the beach and peer into the depths of Glendurgan’s rockpools. With help from Falmouth Marine Conservation Group you’ll learn all about the creatures living below the surface. If the dry land is more your thing get involved with the Beach Clean on the 11th September while taking in the fresh air and picturesque views of the Helford River. Enjoy an afternoon of peace in the orchard every Wednesday where you’ll be able to relax and switch off from the world and reconnect with nature.

THROUGHOUT SEPTEMBER: THE POLY POTTERY WORKSHOPS
Where: 9 minute drive from The Greenbank
Learn a new skill this September and take part in one of The Poly’s Pottery Workshops. Perfect for beginners or intermediate students. You’ll learn a range of skills from turning, firing, and glazing. Choose between afternoon or evening courses with head potter Karl Owen.

25TH SEPTEMBER: FALMOUTH TRIATHLON: Gylly beach
Where: 8 minutes drive from The Greenbank
Put your swimming, running and biking skills to the test at the Falmouth Triathlon. Starting with a swim in the calm blue waters of Gylly Beach, it’s then a bike ride along Cliff Road as the electric atmosphere of spectators line the closed street. Watch out for seals off-shore on the stunning run routes around Pendennis Point. There’ll even be a Junior Event for little ones in the afternoon.
