What’s on in Cornwall this February 2022

2022 has kicked off to a great start, thanks to Cornwall’s very busy calendar. In the month ahead, there are lots of note-worthy dates to include in your diary. From jewellery making workshops to a wintry gin party, discover what’s on in Cornwall this February…



4th February: Introduction to jewellery making, Inspire makers, Falmouth

Where: 5 minute walk from The Greenbank

Make a one-of-a-kind bracelet whilst learning the basics of jewellery making, at this intimate and inspiring workshop. All of the materials are covered in the cost of the workshop and you’ll get to choose from Porth Jewellery’s impressive collections for your own special design. After learning all of the basics of jewellery making, you’ll leave at the end of the day with your very own handmade piece of silver jewellery and a new understanding of this interesting art. Discover the session here.

5th February: Farewell Dry January Gin Party, The Alverton, truro

Where: 20 minute drive from The Greenbank

Head to our sister hotel on Saturday 5th February and end Dry January in style with a G&T in hand! At The Alverton’s Gin Party in The Great Hall, dance the night away to the DJ’s tunes whilst sipping on your favourite tipples all night long. Their impressive menu will include a single premium gin & tonic for £5 and a double gin for £8. From 5th February: THAO NGUYEN PHAN, Tate st ives

Where: 55 minute drive from The Greenbank

The start of February not only means lighter evenings and *hopefully* warmer weather but it also marks the opening of another exciting Tate St Ives exhibition. At the beginning of the month, the museum will be welcoming renowned international artist Thao Nguyen Phan to its incredible seaside building. The exhibition, which was created especially for the Tate, will feature a mix of mediums including film, sculpture and paintings from Thao’s incredible portfolio. Throughout February: friday Cocktail Club at The Greenbank, falmouth

Where: right on our doorstep

Kick-start your weekend the right way with an evening at the Water’s Edge. At our Cocktail Club, savour two for £10 cocktails whilst drinking in the views as your overlook the harbour. In addition to our club, you can also expect to enjoy laughs with friends and on the last Friday of each month, a guest appearance from live local musical talents. Don’t miss the very talented Maisy Grace on Friday 24th February where you’ll hear plenty of chilled acoustic tunes from 7pm until 10pm! Entry to this event is free and all are welcome. 11th, 12th & 14th February: Valentine’s day at the Greenbank, Falmouth

This Valentine’s Day, get them a gift that will last longer than flowers or chocolate. Head to the Water’s Edge to celebrate your loved one and join us for a celebratory menu to be savoured. Enjoy our signature land and sea platter, made especially for two forks not one, before diving into our special chef’s selection sharing dessert, all for £90 before you both. This special menu is available on 11th, 12th and 14th February from 6.30pm and includes a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival.

12th February: The Great Winter School Fete, Royal Cornwall Showground, wadebridge

Where: 50 minute drive from The Greenbank

This family-friendly event is sure to be fun for all the family. Head to Royal Cornwall Showground for a very special day out in Cornwall. With a huge selection of entertainment, food, shopping, free activities and inter-school competitions as well as face painting, a children’s disco and story-telling, this is not an event to be missed. Every Wednesday: Burger and pint night at The Working Boat

Our burger and beer night is back! 21st-25th February: Science of the sea, the national maritime museum, Falmouth

Where: 20 minute walk from The Greenbank

Head to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall this February half term for lots of fun activities that will be sure to keep your little ones entertained. Science of the Sea is back with a bang, where the creatives from Bristol Explorer Dome will be performing a series of exciting and educational shows throughout the week. Enjoy the show before joining the team from the museum on a hunt for creatures that use bubbles to survive, as well as the ‘Make & Takes’ where they will be using science to create colourful artworks. 21st-26th February: We will rock you, hall for cornwall, truro
