EVERY FRIDAY: Festive Cocktail Club aT THE WATer’s EDGE, Falmouth

Get into the festive spirit of things with an evening at the Water’s Edge this Christmas. At our festive Cocktail Club, you can expect to enjoy two for £10 cocktails while drinking in the views as you overlook the harbour’s wintry scene. In addition to enjoying our dreamy tipples from our festive menu that include warming notes of cinnamon and mulling spices, you can expect to savour Christmas inspired treats from our nibbles menu too.
Every weekend in December: healey’s cyder farm festive weekends, penhallow
Where: Thirty five minute drive from us
Returning for its fifth year on the farm, this spectacular festive market runs every weekend in the run-up to the big day. As well as being transformed into a magical winter wonderland, Healey’s also plays host to hearty food, mulled cider and Christmas gifts galore too. Gather your friends and family and head to the farm, based on the outskirts of Truro, for a taste of a Cornish Christmas. Tickets start from £4 and can be purchased here.
THROUGHOUT December: Ice Skating aT THE EDEN PROJECT, st austell
Where: One hour drive from The Greenbank
The Eden Project’s ice rink is back and has plenty of lessons for those who are new to the sport. You can choose beginner lessons or forty minute slots for those who are already gliding along with serious skills. This activity is fun for all of the family and makes for the perfect winter day out. throughout december: Cinderella at hall for Cornwall, Truro
Where: Five minute drive
Don’t miss out on the biggest theatrical event in Cornwall’s Christmas calendar. Head to the newly refurbished Hall for Cornwall to watch the debut reboot of this fairy tale classic. This modern retelling of Cinderella is jam-packed with all of the traditional components of the magical tale including singing, dancing and comedy with a Cornish twist. This is a show for all the family to enjoy.

throughout December: AN ENCHANTING LANTERN EXPERIENCE AT THE LOST GARDENS OF HELIGAN
Where: One hour drive from The Greenbank
Be mesmerised by the illuminated installations at Heligan this December. This outdoor experience will take you on a magical route around the gardens – you may even want to loop around twice! The Heligan team suggest to wear sturdy footwear, appropriate attire for the Cornish weather and to bring along a torch as this is an outdoor event. Find out more and book your tickets here.
5th December: the alverton’s great Christmas market
Where: Twenty minute drive from The Greenbank
Head to the heart of Truro this festive season for a market not to be missed. The Alverton will be hosting their first-ever Christmas market in their historic Great Hall. From 10am until 6pm expect to discover Cornwall’s top creatives and makers, selling crafts, art, jewellery, spirits, artisan treats and more. from 11th December: mousehole Christmas lights, NEAR Penzance
Where: One hour drive from The Greenbank
There are so many spots for checking out Christmas lights in Cornwall. However, Mousehole’s harbour display is one of the county’s most-loved light spectaculars, and visitors flock to the fishing village every year to admire its beauty. With a warming tipple from the mulled wine stall in hand, it’s hard not to feel the Cornish Christmas spirit in Mousehole during December.
11th-12th december: Jubilee wharf’s christmas fair, penryn
Where: Five minute drive from The Greenbank
Now in its twelfth year, Jubilee Wharf in Penryn will be full to the brim with stalls both indoors and outdoors, as well as food served all day at the nearby Muddy Beach Café. 27th December: ‘Christmas.time’ with near ta theatre, Truro
Where: Twenty minute drive from The Greenbank
Looking for things to do in the interlude between Christmas Day and New Year? On 27th December, The Alverton would like to invite you to a marvellously magical performance by Near-ta Theatre, as they put on a show with their festive comedy, “Christmas. Time.” With light refreshments available, pull up a pew, sip on homemade mulled wine and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family. Tickets can be purchased here.
31st December: the working boat’s new years eve party, falmouth
Where: Below decks at The Greenbank
Cruise on over and choose the best spot in Falmouth to say hello to 2022. The Working Boat’s house party will begin at 7pm – entry is free but there are a limited amount of ‘drink and dine’ tickets at £55.
