Starting at Mullion harbour, head south along the coastal path towards Predannack, and see if you can spot the uninhabited Mullion Island. Continue towards Ogo Dour Cove, admiring the curious caves below (Ogo meaning cave in Cornish, and Dour meaning water).

Make new friends along the way…

Depending on the time of year, you may find yourself sharing the salt paths with grazing sheep, ponies, and cows. Keep your eyes to the skies, and you may even spot a Cornish chough or two.

Why not stop for a dip?

Pass the remains of an abandoned 18th century soapstone quarry, appropriately named ‘Soapy Cove’. Then, descend into Kynance Cove – an iconic Cornish landmark. Relax in the glistening turquoise waters and be enchanted by the cove’s spectacular white sands and colourful rock stacks.

Reward yourself…

Lastly, follow the path embroidered with wildflowers and seagrass, until you reach The Lizard Head – home to the old Lizard lifeboat station. Having walked just shy of seven miles, reward yourself with a drink and bite to eat in Britain’s most southerly cafe.
