Twisted Christmas from Owdyado Theatre: The Poly, Falmouth

With a reputation for their darkly comic tales, the Owdyado Theatre are putting on their first ever seasonal show this Christmas, which promises to delight. Sit back and relax in one of Falmouth’s oldest theatres as you enjoy a selection of original dramas that includes tales of how to buy the perfect gift for your unloved ones, the dark side of Christmas cracker jokes, and one woman’s maniacal plot to murder Santa Claus. Fans of cult classics such as Inside No.9 and The Twilight Zone will be firm favourites of this seasonal show with a twist.
A Christmas Carol: The Minack Theatre, Penzance

This Dicken’s classic is sure to get you into the spirit of things. And where better to enjoy this traditional festive tale than at the breathtaking Minack Theatre? Silly Jack Frost has got himself lost and we need your help to find him. This year Jack has found himself a time machine and he could be anywhere and anywhen! Disaster! Join Celia the Elf and help search for him across time. Hear a host of wonderfully wintery tales along the way.
This show is suitable for children and adults alike. Dressing up as your favourite winter character is also encouraged.

Winter wood with rogue theatre: Tehidy Woods, West Cornwall
Throughout December
Rogue Theatre are back for another year of festive theatre. Head to Tehidy Wood’s North Cliffs for an immersive theatre experience like no other. Winter Wood is a one hour forty-minute show and is a true celebration of winter in Cornwall. This is an outdoor experience, so we recommend wearing a warm coat and wellies! THE MOUSEHOLE CAT: solomon browne hall, mousehole
Throughout December
Appropriately performed in the heart of Mousehole by Cousin Jack’s theatre group, this magical and heart-warming show uses delightful puppetry to portray Antonia Barber’s classic children’s story. This is the purrfect Christmas theatre show in Cornwall for children aged three and above. From 14th December, the famous Mousehole lights will also be proudly displayed in the harbour, giving the whole village a festive feel.
Cinderella: Hall for Cornwall, Truro

Don’t miss out on the biggest theatrical event in Cornwall’s Christmas calendar. Head to the newly refurbished Hall for Cornwall to watch the debut reboot of this fairy tale classic. This modern retelling of Cinderella is jam-packed with all of the traditional components of the magical tale including singing, dancing and comedy with a Cornish twist. This is a show for all the family to enjoy.

This Christmas, The Alverton’s Great Hall will be full of laughter and Christmas cheer as Near-ta Theatre take to the stage with their genius comedy ‘Christmas.Time’.
Charlie and Toby are feeling low, as it’s Christmas Day and they’re serving time behind bars. But why shouldn’t they be having a Merry Christmas in spite of their incarceration? What’s stopping them from creating Christmas around them? Absolutely nothing! And so they set off on their festival of carols, Claus, Christ and custody.
