The Greenbank Real Weddings: Toni and Bevin Stone
All the team at The Greenbank Hotel love seeing our bride and groom’s wedding photographs of their special day. Here we feature Toni and Bevin Stone, who got married at The Greenbank on the 10th August 2018. Toni and Bevin hosted their ceremony and reception in The Riverbank, which can hold up to 120 guests. After the ceremony, Toni and Bevin invited their guests to the Water’s Edge bar for a few glasses of Pimm’s and bottles of Corona before enjoying a three course meal in The Riverbank. They ended the evening dancing away until midnight, overlooking the harbour.
Why did you choose The Greenbank as your venue?
Location was a big deal for us. Falmouth is iconic for its beautiful harbour views and the views from The Greenbank didn’t disappoint. After coming to the hotel for a show-around, we not only fell in love with the views, but the general feel of the hotel was fantastic. The venue is welcoming, warm and modern and the staff could not do more for you.
What was the most special part of your wedding day?
Having a beautiful relaxing environment for our family to create life-long memories. Memories like my son walking me down the aisle or our daughter reading a poem dedicated to us…every picture we have shows how relaxed and at home we all felt.
Any advice for future brides planning their big day?
First of all, don’t panic and stress over the small details! Your guests won’t care about the table cloth colour or how many pom-poms you’ve hung. It’s so easy to get carried away but it’s really not needed. Secondly, listen to your wedding co-ordinator. Jane at The Greenbank is extremely knowledgeable and will ensure your day runs smoothly without a hitch. She’s also extremely in-tune with you as a couple and will cater to you as individuals.
Any advice for the grooms?
Twenty seconds of courage is all you need. Courage for the vows, speeches, and the first dance.
If you could do it all over again, what would you do differently?
If we could have our day again we can honestly say we wouldn’t change a single thing. We are still in amazement and the feedback we received from all of our guests was the same. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and a lot of that is thanks to the amazing team at The Greenbank. From porters to bar staff, every single person we encountered made us feel that our day was the most important day. They couldn’t do more to make it special. We will sing the praises of all involved who helped our day run so smoothly to anybody that will listen.
