The Gruffalo – Hall for Cornwall, Truro

Children’s Afternoon Tea – The Greenbank, Falmouth

When: All year round

If you’re seeking a treat for the little sweet tooths in your life, why not kick off half term with a children’s afternoon tea? From rocky road brownies and Rodda’s clotted cream teas, to chocolate or banana milkshakes and a Callestick ice cream hedgehog, our new children’s afternoon teas are made with smiles in mind. Science of the Sea – National Maritime Museum, Falmouth

When: 15th – 23rd February

Dive into the wonders of the ocean this February Half Term at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall’s Science of the Sea event. Perfect for curious minds of all ages, this interactive experience brings marine science to life with hands-on activities, exciting demonstrations, and fascinating exhibits. Explore the forces that power ships, uncover the secrets of underwater exploration, and marvel at the incredible creatures that call the ocean home. With plenty of opportunities to experiment, learn, and play, it’s a half-term adventure that promises to spark curiosity and ignite a passion for the sea.

A Swim in the Pool – The Falmouth, Falmouth

When: All year round, 9am to 6pm

Over on Falmouth’s seafront, our sister hotel is the perfect place for a splash and a play in their 12 metre heated pool. While the beach lies on The Falmouth’s doorstep, wild and windy days present a wonderful opportunity for some family fun indoors. Once dry and out of the pool, why not take advantage of the Sweet Treat and Swim offer? Served between 2pm and 5.30pm, enjoy an afternoon tea for grown ups and little ones alike.

FABruary Half Term Fun – Newquay Zoo, Newquay

When: 10th – 18th February

Experience a ‘FABruary’ half term filled with wildlife adventures and the opportunity to win a family membership at Newquay Zoo. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the zoo’s gardens, where large areas have been cultivated to create wild spaces filled with native plants like bluebells, primroses, and daffodils, providing habitats for local wildlife.
And don’t forget to check out the zoo’s pair of Hoffmann’s sloths, Roxy and Hadar, in the Tropical House’s rainforest canopy.

Mini Keeper Quiz – Paradise Park, Hayle

When: 8th January – 31st March

Discover the magic of a wildlife sanctuary and family attraction filled with vibrant tropical birds, playful penguins, and fascinating mammals. This February half term, don’t miss the Keeper’s Quiz – a fun and educational challenge where you can test your knowledge about the animals cared for at the park. This February, young adventurers can become Art Explorers at Tate St Ives! February Half Term – The Eden Project, St Austell

Combining learning and exploration in a unique setting, kids will love discovering the the Eden Project’s rainforest and Mediterranean Biomes, where they can see exotic plants and learn about different ecosystems. During half-term, there are additional activities tailored for children, including hands-on workshops and interactive exhibits, making it an engaging experience for all ages. With plenty of outdoor space and gardens to explore, it’s a chance to enjoy both nature and science in a family-friendly environment.

Heart and Home Trail – Lost Gardens of Heligan, Pentewan

When: 15th – 23rd February

Embark on the Heart and Home at Heligan Trail and explore some of the lesser-known corners of The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Along the way, discover the unique homes and habitats that provide sanctuary for the estate’s incredible wildlife. Reflect on what makes these habitats special for their residents, and when you’ve completed the trail, visit the craft corner to create your own little home to take with you. As one of Cornwall’s most enchanting historic gardens, Heligan offers the perfect blend of nature, discovery, and creativity for all ages.
