19th october: MURDER ON THE DANCE FLOOR, the alverton hotel, truro

Where: 25 minute drive from The Greenbank

Head to The Alverton Hotel on Saturday 19th October for a night of fine-dining and drama. You are invited to the VIP launch party of popular talent show, ‘Strict Lee Come Dancing’. Tuck into a divine three-course dinner, sip on delicious drinks and solve the murder mystery at this whodunit event.


19th – 31st october: HALLOWEEK AT CAMEL CREEK, wadebridge

Where: 1 hour drive from The Greenbank

The Witches of the Wilderness have descended onto Camel Creek and cast a spell on the adventure park. This Halloween, brave a visit to the witch grotto, play trick or treat, hop on the ghost train or carve a pumpkin during Halloweek.

Creepy crawlies and frightening beasts await at Newquay Zoo. This October half term, bring your little ones in their scariest Halloween costumes to take part in all the spooky goings on, including a bewitching bat hunt trail and talks on all things insects.

Find your way through the forbidden forest which promises mythical creatures and thrilling monsters at Eden Project’s Halloweden. Visit the cryptid petting zoo, brew a magical potion from special botanicals, learn how to weave a spider web and even carve your own pumpkin. On Saturday 26th October, do the monster mash at The Little Monsters’ Ball, a fang-tastic Halloween disco for the kids. Don’t forget to check out the bone-chilling ice rink too!


21st – 27th october: SHADOW AND SILHOUETTES, the national maritime museum, falmouth

Where: 5 minute drive from The Greenbank

During October half term week, The National Maritime Museum Cornwall are hosting an eerie event. Get involved with spooky craft making, win prizes on the museum trail and be wowed by the incredible storytelling performance by Yskynna.

Watch the Cornish skies illuminate Flambards at their tricks and treats firework spectacular. Indulge your inner thrill-seeker on the jaw-dropping rides, and take a spooky stroll through the pumpkin lit Victorian village.


25th and 26th october: GHOST TOURS, pendennis castle, falmouth

Where: 10 minute drive from The Greenbank

Explore a shadow world of ghosts and ghouls at a haunted castle. This eerie evening tour of Pendennis Castle with Theophilus Fox, noted occultist and ghost hunter, is not for the faint-hearted. Choose from a family-friendly tour or an adult only tour, and hold your nerve as you walk the grounds after dark.


30th OCTOBER: SHIVERS AND SHADOWS, SQUASHBOX theatre, The acorn, penzance

Where: 55 minute drive from The Greenbank

Prepare to shiver, shake, shudder and scream at Squashbox Theatre’s first ever Halloween show. Shivers and Shadows is full of delightful frights, hilarious horror and entertaining puppetry. Expect slapstick silliness and lots of creepy characters, with a show recommended for brave children over 6 years old.


31st october: HALLOWEEN FEAST, truro school cookery, truro

Where: 25 minute drive from The Greenbank

Whip up a frightening feast this Halloween with Truro School Cookery. Aimed at 11 – 17 year olds, create a spooktacular menu, from stuffed pepper pumpkins to eyeball bolognese pasta and ghostly biscuits. Children can learn new culinary skills and take home their tasty treats to share with family or friends.


2nd november: HALLOWEEN MASKED BALL, flambards, helston

Where: 25 minute drive from The Greenbank

Halloween in Cornwall wouldn’t be the same without the infamous Masked Ball. Hosted at Flambards, the theme this year is American Horror Story. Expect a myriad of rooms, dance floors, dens, hidden bars and unpredictable nano-venues, eccentric humour and an epic party. Find the most outrageous mask and be prepared to go hard or go home at this raucous rave.
