One bottle gin special in the bar: Agnes Arber
From now on, we’ll be exploring the most premium craft gins around, by purchasing only one bottle of each and featuring them until our bottle runs dry! The first on our list is Agnes Arber – a fine convergence of nine botanicals distilled together.
Released only last month, The Greenbank bar is one of the first stockists of this gin in the UK.
In 1946, Agnes Arber became the first female botanist – and the third woman overall – to be elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of London. It is with appreciation of Arber’s work that this gin has been produced. The savoury, earthy notes of juniper, coriander and angelica are complemented by the warm and spicy tones of cassia. Sweet, acidic flavours of lemon, orange and grapefruit combine with a twist of liquorice. A must try for any citrusy gin lover.
Served with premium Franklin’s tonic and a slice of pink grapefruit, our limited edition Agnes Arber gin is £6.95.
Should the gin prove popular, we will be adding it to our new drinks menu permanently. We’d love to hear your feedback on each gin and hope you can join us for a tipple or two soon.
