May featured cocktails in the bar
Another month, another round of drool-worthy cocktails. These four tipples truly are the cream of the crop. Expect fresh mint leaves, brown sugar cubes, and generous glugs of liquor – as we introduce to you Rob Roy, Treacle, Mint Julep and Southside. Go on, treat yourself…
ROB ROY (29TH APRIL – 6TH MAY)
Take a nostalgic trip back to 1894, when this classic whisky-based cocktail was first created in New York. Angostura bitters is shaken with scotch and sweet vermouth and topped with a cherry. Sweet, strong and seriously good.
TREACLE (6TH – 13TH MAY)
What’s better than dark rum, cloudy apple juice, angostura bitters, soda and a brown sugar cube expertly mixed together? Nothing, that’s what. Treacle is one to rave about.
MINT JULEP (13TH – 20TH MAY)
A tongue-tingling triumph! Nina ritually blends a sugar cube with bourbon, soda, angostura bitters, ice and fresh mint leaves for a taste sensation. Our favourite summer aperitif.
SOUTHSIDE (20TH – 27TH MAY)
Light, refreshing and downright dreamy. Southside is a zingy tonic of gin, mint leaves, fresh lime juice and sugar syrup served in a Martini glass. A cousin to the famous Mojito, Southside is the ultimate cocktail to enjoy on our sun-drenched terrace.
Don’t forget, every Friday from 5pm until close you can enjoy two cocktails for £10, including the featured cocktails above during their allocated weeks.
