We’re marching into the new month with lots of new tipples under our belt for the season ahead. Bar Manager Holly is steering away from the winter flavours and introducing some more spring-inspired creations to the Water’s Edge bar. Here’s our fresh batch of weekly cocktails exclusively available in March. We’ve got your cocktail night in Falmouth sorted!
jam first: 2nd – 6th march
As all Cornish locals will know, the 5th March is St Piran’s Day. One much-loved Cornish delicacy is the traditional cream tea. This strawberries and cream flavoured cocktail pays homage to the important ritual of adding jam before cream. Holly has chosen clotted cream gin and strawberry jam as the main ingredients and flavours. Swap the scone for something a little stronger this St Piran’s Day and head to The Water’s Edge dreckly!
greenbank purple rain: 9th – 13th march
We’ve put our own twist on this cocktail classic. This vivid drink is long and refreshing, with sweet, citrusy notes. Gather your friends for the ultimate cocktail night in Falmouth as we embrace in a bit of purple rain here at The Greenbank!
LYCHEE BELLINI: 16TH – 20TH MARCH
A cocktail created for all the lovely mums out there. This special Mother’s Day cocktail is bursting with fresh, floral flavours of lychee and hibiscus, topped up with prosecco. Spoil someone special with a few of these sparkly tipples at The Water’s Edge.
TASTE OF SPRING: 23RD – 27TH MARCH
Celebrate the start of spring with a cocktail night in Falmouth featuring Holly’s special seasonal tipple. Lots of flavours associated with spring time have been added to the mix, from refreshing cucumber and mint, Tanqueray gin and elderflower, to cloudy apple juice and zesty lemon. The sunny colour and foamy texture created by St Germain foam makes us think of warm, spring afternoons and blue skies full of fluffy clouds.
