June Featured Cocktails in the Water’s Edge Bar
Cocktail lovers are in for a treat this month, as we have some sweet summery tipples for you to sink your teeth into. From Padstow to Dominican Republic, Kentucky to Trinidad and Tobago – here’s our well-travelled cocktail hit list for June…
Kelapa Kelapa (1st – 8th June)
If you like Pina Coladas, then this is the drink for you! Combining Brugal white rum, coconut syrup, pineapple juice, lime and Amaro di Angostura, this cocktail gives a creamy, tropical, tiki flavour and a nice little twist on a classic Pina Colada for those summer nights that are soon to be upon us.
Gwynnrudh (8th – 15th June)
The Gwynnrudh cocktail, which is the Cornish word for pink, is sure to lift your spirits this month. Mixing Tarquin’s rhubarb and raspberry gin, rhubarb liqueur, cranberry juice, lemon juice and hibiscus syrup, this tangy tipple is sure to make you wanting another.
Summer Old Fashioned (15th – 22nd June)
In the winter, citrus is kind but come high summer there’s an abundance of perfectly ripe fruit in season that will make your Old Fashioned sing. Why not try our Tarquin’s elderflower and grapefruit gin mixed with elderflower cordial and grapefruit bitters, to get that refreshing Old Fashioned fix?
Maranzano (22nD – 29th June)
A strong feisty cocktail like the Maranzano is not for the faint hearted. With a combination of Bulleit Rye whiskey, Aperol, Martini Rosso and orange bitters, this unique taste is known as ‘the kiss of death’ – but don’t let that put you off! Potent, punchy and oh-so-good.
Thunderstormy Bellini: (29th June-6th July)
A classy cocktail with a Water’s Edge twist. Mixing Brugal dark rum with ginger syrup, this bellini has certainly got a kick to it. Angostura bitters and half a lime adds a botanical hint of flavour, making it a firm favourite on our cocktail hit list this month.
