Introducing Restaurant Manager Alisha Hancock
Being in hospitality from the age of fourteen, Alisha worked in various two rosette restaurants and four star hotels, with lots of training in a fine dining environment. She then went on to study Event Management and Business at University.
Once graduated, Alisha started looking for a full time career in what she loves and knows best: customer service and fine dining. Having the Event Management and Business degree also added to her skills set on running functions and managing teams.
From a young age, Alisha was inspired by her father to study business, as well as explore her creative side. Although she is very creative, she is also very organised, focused and has a sharp eye for detail. All of these qualities work well together when managing a restaurant as everything must be perfect for The Greenbank customers.
Working at The Greenbank Hotel for over three years, Alisha worked her way up from a supervisor level to Restaurant Manager. With a love and passion for food, presentation and Cornwall, Alisha is enjoying her career to the fullest and looks forward to what the future will bring her.
What makes Falmouth so special to you?
Falmouth is now the place I call home. It is beautiful and has a relaxed nature, which reflect in the people that live here. Everyone is just so friendly and proud to be Cornish – it’s amazing how celebrated and supported local foods, businesses and creativity is!
Can you sum up Cornwall in five words?
Quaint, relaxed, beautiful, picturesque, and welcoming.
What is your favourite thing about Cornwall?
My favourite thing about Cornwall is that you can glance out across the gorgeous coastline on a hot summers day and you really could be anywhere in the world.
