In Celebration of British Food Fortnight
This month we’re celebrating British Food Fortnight at The Greenbank.
British Food Fortnight runs from 18th September until 3rd October and is a celebration of all of the ‘delicious and diverse’ food that is produced across our isles.
Our Ethos
Here at The Greenbank, our Executive Chef Nick Hodges and Head Chef Bobby Southworth take pride in not only their Cornish roots but also the local and ‘plough to plate’ ethos of The Greenbank’s kitchen, which they have been shaping since 2014 and 2017 respectively.
Whether it be the fruit and vegetables incorporated into our dishes, the dairy products in our afternoon tea, or even the artisan spirits we use to whip up our cocktails, many of the products our guests enjoy as part of The Greenbank’s food and drink offering is not only created by British producers, but lots of them are Cornish too!
We’re proud to say that our menus change with the seasons to showcase the very best of the South West. And our talented chefs always prepare our cuisine in simple and effective ways that let our amazing produce do the talking.
For this year’s British Food Fortnight, we’re highlighting all of the unbeatable fare that comes from Cornwall, by celebrating our food heroes including the farmers, producers, suppliers and chefs who create the exceptional Cornish products we use across our hotel and at our sister hotel, The Alverton.
