Ideas for a romantic Falmouth Minimoon

Private boat trip
When staying on the water, where better to be than on the water! You can barely get closer than our luxury hotel but to touch the sea, why not hire a private boat and have a trip around the coast and coves that make Falmouth so special. Hire a boat from £95 for half a day, stopping off at the stunning Pandora Inn for lunch or perhaps choose the option with the Cornish hamper!
Pendennis castle
For a slice of romance and history, we recommend a visit to Pendennis Castle. Built by Henry VIII circa 1540, this romantic castle is truly magical. Climb to the roof and look at the panoramic views across Falmouth, imagine you are 16th century royalty looking down from high up on your turret!
Champagne afternoon tea
For days when you don’t want to stray too far, enjoy an indulgent champagne afternoon tea on the Greenbank terrace, watching the sun dance on the water and the boats bobbing on the waves.
Picnic and day of exploring
Why not let our chefs prepare you a picnic hamper to take on a coastal walk? Explore the local beaches and Cornish coastal path or visit one of the nearby gardens such as Trebah with its variety of trees, flora and fauna and even a private beach!

For a more active day, why not try your hand at horse riding? Enjoy a couples lesson at nearby Bosvathick and, for those a little more experience, why not go out on a hack to explore the countryside on horseback? How very Poldark….
