This summer, the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth will be offering Heritage Boat Trips to small groups wanting to admire the seaside town from a fresh perspective. Board one of the museum’s most prized Cornish boats, Jonik and take in Falmouth’s famous landmarks whilst uncovering its fascinating maritime history.
The one hour tour is a great opportunity to get up close and personal on this exclusive trip around Falmouth. With just eight passengers, plus two crew, including an expert tour guide, the boat embarks and returns to the museum. Further your knowledge of Cornwall’s sea-faring background with entry into the National Maritime Museum.
Andy Wyke, Boat Collection Manager at the museum says: “each season we moor a selection of our boats on to our pontoons for visitors to see. This is the first time we’ll be inviting visitors on board for a trip. It is a very exciting venture for us and we look forward to sharing even more about our collections and the area’s wonderful history”.
