Discover What’s On In Cornwall In January 2025

It’s the first month of a brand new year, and a fresh calendar of things to do in Cornwall in January. Make 2025 the year of trying new things and visiting unearthed corners of the county.

1st January: New Year’s Day Roast

Where: The Greenbank, Falmouth

On New Year’s Day, leave the cooking and the washing up to us. Head to the Water’s Edge restaurant or below decks to The Working Boat on 1st January between midday until 8.30pm for a roast dinner with all the trimmings.

Hearty food, delicious views, and great company. The perfect way to start 2025!

Every Sunday: Charity Pub Quiz

Where: The Working Boat, Falmouth

Join The Working Boat crew every Sunday from 7.30pm for a charity pub quiz! Featuring a fun interactive round, music round and lots of prizes, see if you have what it takes to win.

With a whole new list of charities we’re supporting for 2025, check out how much money we raised in 2024 – all thanks to our pubgoers’ generosity.

20th-22nd January: Swan Lake and The Nutcracker

Where: Hall for Cornwall, Truro

Start the new year in the most spectacular way by watching a classical ballet. With performances of both Swan Lake and The Nutcracker at Truro’s Hall for Cornwall, you’re spoilt for choice.

Featuring a live orchestra performing Tchaikovsjy’s score and a company of international dancers, take your seat, and immerse yourself in the magic of the ballet.

Each week will feature a fun, new drawing challenge. Bring along your own materials, from graphite pencils, sticks and charcoal to coloured pens and paper.

31st January: Joseph Parsons: Redesigned

Where: The Poly, Falmouth

Comedian Joseph Parsons is bringing a creative twist on stand-up to The Poly this January. Expect art and design blended with Parsons’ compelling storytelling as he explores themes of criticism, health, and self-esteem.
