Spring is just around the corner, which means there’s plenty of dates to add to your diary as the weather gets warmer and the evenings lighter. From tasting evenings to legendary musical performances, discover what’s on in Cornwall in March.

1st March: Sea Shanty Fundraiser

Where: National Maritime Museum Cornwall

Enjoy an evening of shanties and Cornish songs at the National Maritime Museum, all to raise funds for the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival and the RNLI.

Listen to live music from The Lemonaires, Month’s Advance, ACapella Moonshine and The Oggymen – four groups that could be considered local legends!

5th March: St. Piran’s Day Taste of Truro

Where: The Alverton Hotel, Truro

On Wednesday 5th March, indulge in a five course tasting menu, and raise a glass to St Piran at The Alverton Hotel.

Head Chef Ollie Wyatt is hosting an intimate tasting evening, highlighting the very best seafood, grass-fed meats and harvest from the ‘Great Little City’ of Truro.

16th March: Run Falmouth

Where: Around Falmouth

Lace up your running shoes and hit the scenic streets of Falmouth at this year’s much-anticipated Run Falmouth event.

Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or a casual jogger, Run Falmouth caters to all fitness levels with its variety of race options. Or, if running isn’t for you, spectate from the sidelines and cheer on the runners as they complete the course and cross the finish line.

22nd – 23rd March: Falmouth Spring Flower Show

Where: Princess Pavilion, Falmouth

Step into a floral wonderland at this year’s Spring Flower Show at Princess Pavilion.

Visitors can expect to enjoy up to 100 different classes throughout the weekend, including daffodil categories, children’s classes, camellias, rhododendrons and magnolias – and there’s no fee for taking part. Enter by Friday 14th March.

27th March: Bobby’s Taste of Cornwall

Where: Right on our doorstep

Head to The Greenbank, for a dining experience with our Head Chef Bobby Southworth.

After multiple sell-out events, Bobby will be showcasing his culinary talents once again with a mouth-watering six-course feast. Each dish is inspired by the traditions found in Cornish cuisine, with an inventive Greenbank twist.

30th March: Mother’s Day Lunch and Afternoon tea

Where: The Greenbank Hotel, Falmouth

Join us on Sunday 30th March to take in our breath-taking harbour views as you indulge in a very special Mother’s Day at The Greenbank.

Indulge in a decadent three course lunch menu in the Water’s Edge restaurant. Or savour our specially curated afternoon tea menu, featuring three tiers of delights in the Riverbank. Both include a free glass of fizz for all mums.

31st March: Legend Live – A tribute to the Music of Bob Marley

Where: Hall for Cornwall, Truro

This March, head to Truro’s Hall for Cornwall for an unforgettable evening celebrating Jamaican musical icon – Bob Marley. In a fantastic stage show extravaganza, expect reggae classics Could You Be Loved, Is This Love, Buffalo Soldier, Waiting in Vain and many more.
