3rd, 10th & 17th August: Children’s Pottery Workshops

Where: The Poly, Falmouth

Get creative this summer at The Poly with a series of hands-on children’s pottery workshops. Little makers can sculpt mythical creatures on 3rd, 10th and 17th August. Or, if sea creatures are preferred, there are workshops on 4th, 11th and 18th August. Perfect for budding artists, these fun-filled sessions encourage creativity while children craft their own unique keepsakes.

5th August: The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

Where: Trebah Garden

Follow Dorothy and friends down the yellow brick road as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz comes to Trebah Garden. Set amongst one of Cornwall’s most beautiful gardens, this open-air performance promises an enchanting afternoon of family entertainment. Bring a picnic, a blanket and enjoy theatre in the great outdoors.

5th – 8th August: Legally Blonde

Where: Princess Pavilion, Falmouth

Young Generation presents the hit musical Legally Blonde at Princess Pavilion. Bursting with catchy songs, humour and heart, this feel-good production follows Elle Woods on her unforgettable journey from fashionista to Harvard law student. Packed with high-energy performances, colourful choreography and plenty of laughs, it’s a fantastic evening of entertainment for musical theatre lovers of all ages.

7th August: Pink Wig Pre-Party & Mermaid March

Where: The Greenbank

Join us at The Greenbank as we kick off one of Falmouth’s most colourful charity weekends. Start the celebrations with our Pink Wig Pre-Party before watching the spectacular Mermaid March parade make its way through the town in support of The Mermaid Centre. Expect plenty of pink, live entertainment and a fantastic community atmosphere. Throughout the weekend, you can also enjoy our limited-edition Pink Afternoon Tea in the Water’s Edge, featuring handcrafted sweet and savoury treats inspired by the occasion, with proceeds supporting this incredible local charity.

7th – 16th August: Falmouth Week

Where: The Greenbank

One of Cornwall’s biggest summer events returns this August. Falmouth Week combines world-class sailing with ten days of live music, family entertainment, markets, an exciting air display and spectacular fireworks. Perfectly positioned on the waterfront, The Greenbank offers one of the best spots to soak up the atmosphere throughout the celebrations.

Where: National Maritime Museum

Perfect for families during the school holidays, Maritime Adventures returns to the National Maritime Museum Cornwall with interactive exhibits, creative workshops and hands-on activities inspired by Cornwall’s rich seafaring history. It’s an ideal rainy-day activity or addition to a day exploring Falmouth.

10th – 13th August: Julius Caesar

Where: Minack Theatre

21st August: Beach BBQ with Live Music

27th & 28th August: The Odyssey

29th August: Austentatious

Where: Hall for Cornwall, Truro

Expect wit, romance and plenty of audience participation as the award-winning improv troupe Austentatious creates a brand-new Jane Austen-inspired novel live on stage.
