From walking tours of our historic town to live music, delicious barbecues, and ten-year celebrations, this summer line-up is not one to miss.

2nd August: Falmouth Uncovered Walking Tour & BBQ

Where: The Greenbank & The Falmouth

Discover Falmouth’s rich past with Falmouth Uncovered on a guided walking tour through the historic heart of our vibrant coastal town, just £15 per person (tour only). Starting at 2pm from The Greenbank Hotel, enjoy views of the harbour before setting off. Arrive early to savour lunch at the Water’s Edge bar or The Working Boat pub.

Led by a knowledgeable local guide, the two-hour tour explores cobbled streets and the waterfront, sharing stories from the town’s packet ship era to its seaside resort days. You’ll finish around 4pm at The Falmouth Hotel, where a sizzling terrace BBQ offers the perfect end to your historic journey.

8th July: Pink Wig Pre-Party & Mermaid March

Where: The Greenbank Marquee

We’re back to host our annual Pink Wig pre-party in our beautiful waterfront marquee before the fabulous Pink Wig festivities begin. Join us from 5pm for an unforgettable evening of fun, friendship, and fundraising.

Launching from The Greenbank, the vibrant Pink Wig Parade will raise essential funds and awareness for The Mermaid Centre-Cornwall’s leading facility for breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. To show our support, we’ll be donating 10% of all drink sales throughout the day, alongside 50% of proceeds from every Pink Wig Cocktail sold, directly to The Mermaid Centre.

8th – 15th July: Falmouth Week

Where: The Greenbank Marquee

The brilliant Cornish band Falmouth Soul Sensation will light up The Working Boat’s quay with their infectious 1960s soul and funky rhythms. This lively twelve-piece group is guaranteed to get everyone dancing with their take on classic hits. Stick around after the music to catch the spectacular fireworks lighting up the harbour.

13th August: Jake Bugg

Where: The Princess Pavilions, Falmouth

As part of his newly announced Your Town Tour, acclaimed singer-songwriter Jake Bugg is heading to Falmouth for a special evening of live music at the Princess Pavilion on Wednesday 13th August.

Known for his distinctive blend of indie rock, folk, and blues, Jake will be treating fans to two unique sets—one acoustic and one electric—showcasing hits from across his celebrated catalogue. A must-see for music lovers, this intimate performance promises an unforgettable night on Falmouth’s vibrant live music scene.

13th August: RAF Red Arrows Display

Falmouth Week is set to dazzle this August, and we’re excited to watch the skies light up from our sister hotel, The Falmouth. On Tuesday 13th August, the iconic Red Arrows return with their thrilling aerial display at 6.15pm—best enjoyed from The Falmouth’s lawn with a glass of something chilled in hand, thanks to Moët and Whispering Angel.

Once the final flypast fades, the evening continues with live music from Bryher’s Boys. Settle in for a lively 30–40 minute set that’s sure to keep the Falmouth Week magic going well into the night.

16th August: The Working Boat’s 10th Birthday Party

Where: The Greenbank Marquee

The Working Boat is turning ten, and we’re throwing a birthday bash to celebrate! Join us on Saturday 16th August from 5pm for live music from local singer-songwriter Mog Jones, a complimentary drink on arrival, and our much-loved loaded fries from the outdoor kitchen.

Come dressed as a sailor and you’ll receive two free drinks as a thank you for helping us mark ten fantastic years by the harbour. Cheers to a decade of good times!

24th August: Archery and BBQ Evening

Our sister hotel, The Falmouth, is hosting a laid-back summer evening that’s perfect for all ages. Join them on the lawn for free archery sessions from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, led by the friendly team from Canoe Cornwall – ideal for beginners and little ones aged 4 and up.

From 4.30pm, the BBQ will be fired up with delicious food, including veggie and vegan options, alongside refreshing drinks from the bar. Bring a blanket, soak up the sea views, and enjoy a relaxed Sunday by the water – no booking needed!

July to September: Summer BBQs on the Terrace

Where: The Alverton, Truro

This summer, our sister hotel The Alverton is firing up the grill for a series of delicious Friday evening BBQs on their beautiful sun-drenched terrace in Truro. Between 5.30pm and 7.30pm, their peaceful hilltop spot becomes a laid-back haven for food lovers looking to unwind. rnrnExpect flame-grilled meats, fresh seafood, moreish sides, and tasty vegetarian and vegan options. Pre-book or simply turn up and tuck in.

29th August: Live music from Our Atlantic Roots

Where: The Falmouth

Head over to our sister hotel, The Falmouth, on Friday 29th August from 6pm to 9pm for a relaxed evening of live music on the terrace. Enjoy stunning sea views as Our Atlantic Roots, the transatlantic indie-folk duo, perform two soulful sets of poetic lyrics and rich harmonies.

Tickets are £10 per person and include a Chandon Spritz on arrival. The BBQ will be fired up with fresh seafood, meats, and seasonal veg available to purchase throughout the evening—perfect for a summer night by the sea.
