For the bold
This 8 miler along the north coast of Cornwall is not for the faint-hearted. Curving around Penhale point and through the dunes at Penhale Sands, the walk takes in dramatic cliffs, mine work ruins and stretching beaches. So pack a hearty lunch and make a day of it! Falmouth for the more chilled out
Passing through Falmouth town, with all its little coffee shops and foodie retreats, this route to and around Pendennis Castle is perfect for those that can’t quite face hills yet, or for those taking the little ones along. Starting at the Swanpool beach car park, the route is flat and mostly paved, but is still a guaranteed blast of fresh sea-air.

Pentire Point and The Rumps
Any walk known as ‘The Rumps’ will get a titter from us, but this walk is no laughing matter. A manageable 2.6 miles, the exposed headland and choppy waters that characterise this trail makes for an atmospheric walk on a nippy spring day. Just around Pentire point, you’ll find the plaque where Laurence Binyon apparently sat whilst writing ‘For the Fallen.’

A Day on The Roseland
One of the best things about The Greenbank Hotel is that whilst we get to soak up all the vibrancy of Falmouth, we’re also close enough to The Roseland Peninsula to take advantage of the tranquility of this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A quick hop across the King Harry Ferry to St Mawes kicks off this walk, which takes you through woodland trails to the beautiful little church at St Just.

Our top tip: try one of these wonderful walks then retreat to The Greenbank for a hot chocolate and slice of cake!
