Once again Cornwall's summer line-up does not disappoint, and so far August 2024 is set to be a month to remember. So, put the kettle on, grab your diary, and let us be your guide...

1st August: Sunrise Sessions – Heligan

Join the early birds this August and head to The Lost Gardens of Heligan for their summer Sunrise Sessions, held every Thursday morning. Explore enchanting gardens and an ancient estate as the world awakens.

Relish quiet moments amidst the tranquil beauty of nature. From the Northern Summerhouse, witness the sunrise over St Austell Bay. Delight in the soothing birdsong as you wander through the woodland and take a moment for peaceful reflection.

Throughout August: Love Riot by Miracle Theatre

In celebration of their 45th anniversary, Miracle Theatre presents: Love Riot. In an exciting retelling of the classic play by Hannah Cowley, the witty and charming display will be shown in locations all over Cornwall this summer.

Watch on as a spirited young woman defies society in search of her own destiny in a tale of scandal, matchmaking and unexpected twists. Catch the show at the Carn Marth Ampitheatre on 4th August. Alternatively, head over to St Mawes Castle on the 6th, or Enys Gardens from 22nd to 24th.

7th – 11th August: Boardmasters

With the stunning Cornish coastline as its backdrop, Boardmasters is back for five incredible days of music, pro surfing, and a relaxed beach vibe.

Look forward to performances from big names like Sam Fender, Stormzy, and Chase & Status as the sun sets over the water. Enjoy sunset beats with a pint in hand. Try surfing the salty swells of Fistral Beach. From silent discos and yoga sessions to outdoor cinemas and secret after-parties, Boardmasters 2024 is set to be unforgettable.

9th – 18th August: Falmouth Week

Our favourite week of the year is back again, and we plan to kick it off with a bang. As always, the Pink Wig pre-party will take place on Friday 9th in our marquee, before the Pink Wig Parade heads off to take over the town.

Packed with events for all, Falmouth Week is set to be one to remember, and we’ll be rounding off the festivities with live music and fireworks over the final weekend.

18th – 24th August: Fowey Regatta

One of the UK’s most renowned sailing events returns this August with a bang. Fowey Regatta Week features thrilling sailboat and gig races skimming across the water. Experience car parades, grand carnivals, fireworks displays, and swimming events.

Secure your ticket for a night at the prom at Fowey Church or enjoy a comedic performance by Johnny Cowling. A favourite event among locals and visitors alike, this year’s Fowey Regatta is not to be missed.

Until 29th August: Magic in the Skies – Land’s End

Anyone who’s been to this astonishing event previously will understand why it’s been named Magic in the Skies. Back again for 2024, you can head on down to the westernmost point of Cornwall for a firework display like no other.

Taking place at Land’s End every Tuesday and Thursday evening until 29th August at 10pm, expect a thrilling soundtrack, foodie treats, live music and entertainment for the whole family.
